New Delhi: President Pratibha Patil and Vice
President M Hamid Ansari have greeted the people on the
occasion of Holi and expressed hope that the festival will
strengthen the fraternal bonds.
"On the auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend my
greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens. Holi is
festival of joy, hope and fulfilment in our life. May this
festival strengthen fraternal bonds amongst our people and
bring peace and prosperity to our nation," Patil said.
In his message, Ansari said the mood of joyfulness
captured in the colours of Holi unites people in the
celebration of the festival, strengthening our social fabric.
"My hearty greetings and good wishes to the people of our
country on the auspicious occasion of Holi, the festival of
colours," he said.
The Vice President said Holi, celebrated across the
country with enthusiasm, marks the advent of the spring season
and reminds us of our tradition of unity amidst diversity.
"May this festival fill our lives with happiness and
peace," Ansari said.
