'Rahul Gandhi's image result of media spin'

Panaji: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's image is a product of a media spin and he has absolutely no connect with the masses, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Anurag Thakur said here Monday.

Thakur, an MP from Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur constituency, also said that the results of the ongoing elections in Bihar would expose the disconnect between the celebration of the 40-year-old Gandhi scion in the media and the stark ground-reality.

The youth leader was speaking to reporters in Panaji as part of the party's 'India First' campaign.

"I will ask you a simple question. Apart from the media where else is Rahul Gandhi popular," Thakur said, when asked if the 'India First' launched by the BJYM to create nationwide awareness on the situation in Kashmir was in response to Rahul Gandhi's whirlwind all-India tour, which was widely reported.

Asked to elaborate on the nature of media spin being used to promote the Congress general secretary, Thakur said: "I can give you my views, but it depends on what kind of space you give me in your paper."

Thakur also said that the Bihar polls would serve as a litmus test of how truly Rahul Gandhi's tours across the country had captured the popular imagination.

"Wait and see. The Bihar results are going to be out soon. That will tell you about the popularity of Congress' yuvraaj (prince)," Thakur said.

The first round of Bihar assembly elections took place October 21 and the second was held Sunday. Four more rounds of polling will take place October 28, November 1, 9 and 20. Votes will be counted November 24.

This is an absolutely correct observation. Everytime he goes to his constituency, it becomes a news item but every one of the remaining 540 (exclude his mother) also goes to his/her constituency. But that is never a news? So what is special about him besides his media making?
Everytime he visits some place there are at least 3/4 photos of his. They are pretty ugly to watch at every day but media simply gives him lift for no reason other than his dynasty. So it is true that he is only because of media making. And it beats me as to why is media so much gaga about him.

SEE.If i were Rahul Gandhi, i will see a readymade bank account, media, connections, opportunity to rule, congress leaders ready to make me grandfather as they have been doing all these days then why shall I go and struggle for life? I feel pity on people in Congress or supporters.
Media is behaving like a terrorist and anti national element and time will take account from them too.

Those who dont know shud know that rahul gandhi is a christian and is not connected to the religion of his father. He with his christian brother - in - law harbours anti hindu feelings.

From experiences of people like ``mahesh bhatt`` who has a mixed religious ancestory we can say that rahul gandhi is an anti- hindu

This BJP party activists have no work other than making baseless allegations against Congress and its party`s leaders. They have not learnt any lesson from the past that just by making false allegations they cannot occupy the chair of the ruling party. They have been making such allegations against Congress and the Nehru Family and are in opposition from last 60 years. They will remain in opposition for another 100 years, undoubtedly going by the present trend.
One thing is for sure that the Sangh activists know very well that by making some allegations they can remain in the news. This man Thakur is an unknown entity making some allegations on Rahul Gandhi to capture the attention of the media. God knows who he is and from where he has emerged from all of a sudden.
