Amethi: AICC general secretary and Amethi MP
Rahul Gandhi will undertake a two-day tour of his constituency
from December 22 to take stock of centrally-sponsored schemes,
party sources said here on Sunday.
"During his two-day tour Rahul will visit villages and
review implementation and progress of MNREGS, Education for
All, Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Programme and other
Centrally-sponsored schemes," they said.
The Congress leader will also hold a meeting with village
heads, BDC and DDC members, MLAs and party office-bearers to
muster support in favour of party candidate for the
forthcoming Legislative Council elections scheduled next
month, sources said.
To review preparations for Rahul`s visit, his local
representative K L Sharma held a meeting today and issued
necessary directives.
