Ramalinga Raju suffering from Hepatitis

Former Chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju, who has been admitted to NIMS here following chest pain, is also suffering from Hepatitis, doctors said.

pain, is also suffering from Hepatitis, doctors said.

"Raju has chronic HCV hepatitis with high viral load and
elevated ALT levels," they said.

On August 31, Raju was brought to the NIMS hospital from
Chanchalguda jail for medical check-up.

The doctors who examined Raju advised him to undergo
treatment for a maximum period of 72 weeks, a doctor in
Gastroenterology department in NIMS hospital said.

Earlier, doctors of Osmania Medical College, who examined
Raju two months ago, had also advised him to undergo treatment
under expert guidance.

"After he was referred from Osmania to NIMS, Raju was
supposed to visit our hospital this week, but he got admitted
yesterday after complaining of chest pain," NIMS Medical
Superintendent Dr N Satyanarayana said.
