Ravi plays down reports that he is in leadership race

Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on Sunday sought to play down speculations that he was in the race for leadership in the coming assembly elections in Kerala.

"I am assigned by the leadership with certain specific engagements in New Delhi at present," he said replying to reporters' queries at a meet-the-press programme here.

The minister, however, said he had been 'always been in Kerala' and would be available for the service of the people in the state if the party High Command asked him to carry out any task.

The Congress-led UDF would comfortably win the coming assembly elections in Kerala for the simple reason that the LDF government was a total failure on all fronts in the last five years, he said.

Vayalar Ravi, who is a failure as a Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, can never turn around Air India, one more bureaucrat presiding over another bureaucratic agency!!This most inefficient Airline famous for delays and cancellation of flights has a service problem also and will not survive on selling cheaper tickets only.

Rather than recruiting Airhostesses who has influence, who think this is a glamor job and runaround wearing Saris, we need actual waitresses who have worked in four star hotels to serve the airline passengers. For basically, this is a waiting job on customers.

Get an MBA from Harvard and strictly follow his recoomendations and give him the salary rather than paying to Ravi Vayalar.
