Mumbai: With the Opposition all set to raise
the issue of price rise in the Budget session of Parliament
from Monday, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on saturday
said he is ready to "face the attack".
"Parliament session starts next week and I know that many
Opposition leaders would be targeting me on the sugar price
rise, but I am a good player and ready to face the attack," he
said, addressing a rally in Osmanabad.
Pawar said his NCP will help MP Padamsinh Patil, whom the
party had suspended from primary membership last year
following his arrest in a murder case, whenever he needs it.
"Padmasinh Patil is a worker who has helped the party
since its formation and whenever he will need help, the party
will stand by him," the NCP chief said.
Interestingly, Pawar visited Kasegaon village for a
function. While returning to Osmanabad, Pawar asked Patil to
accompany him in his car and both travelled together.
