Jammu: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday strongly advocated scrapping of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, saying it has given rise to separatism whose exponents are using the provision to their advantage in the valley.

"Article 370 has only fuelled separatism and helped it rise. It is being exploited by separatists in the Kashmir valley," Bhagwat said calling for its abrogation at a function here.

The RSS head also spoke against the proposed withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), saying it should remain in force until the problem in Jammu and Kashmir is not resolved.

"Special powers should stay along with security forces till the problems for which the AFSPA was imposed in J&K are not resolved", Bhagwat said.

Maintaining that terrorism and Pakistan need to be tackled with an iron hand, he said dialogue is not possible with that country in the face of terror.

"First ensure that bloodshed is stopped, then only talks can be held", he said.

Calling for an end to the "discrimination" with Jammu on all fronts, Bhagwat backed the agitation for setting up the proposed Central University in the region.

Referring to the reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir, as suggested by the outfit in the past, he said, "Until the discrimation ends with it (Jammu), the resolution will remain."

why scrap 370 ONLY in JK? is anyone aware, how many states in india have it? and all those states have same problem as JK. technically, removing 370 will help JK to get out of real issue - economy. but other issue is TRUST. it is seen as plot to settle other people there and make original Kashmiries turn into minoroties in their Kashmir. thats why 370 was made. maybe then another of Raj Thakereys will form there. untill RSS types are there, the trust can not be built.

The RSS claims to be a cultural organisation but blatantly indulges in politics and openly comments on political matters. It is high time it shed its hypocrisy.

It is time that the fundamentalists raise dead and irrelevant issues to divert the attention of the public away from the implosion and crumbling of the fanatical forces and party . Well done and Bravo RSS. Now it is the turn of the BJP also to raise similar such issues. Lets have more of such issues as we need at least hundred such issues to distract the public. It is a common saying that dogs dont eat dogs ,but it is a rampant practice now in the foremost self proclaimed Nationalist forces. Keep the flag flying please.

Scraping Article 370

Article 370 has no place in the Indian democractic system of governance. It was a political consideration put in place in the aftermath of the partition. Now, it has become a rallying point for all the Pakistani instigated sepratists and their agents in Kashmir, enjoying the freedom and rights granted by the chIndian constitution. If the same separatists characters were in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and working for India they would have been put to silence long ago. The Indian government tendency to appease these seperatiset trouble makers is merely encouraging their attempts at destablizing legally elected government in Jammu. Scrap article 370 for the sake of India`s future integrity. Let the debate begin. Those who feel justification must present the reasons and then the nation can express its position through a national referendum. The goal is to unite and integrate India so that we can move on with the task of development and providing better life to all including muslims, HIndus, Sikhs, Christians and others.

The only possible solution to the Kashmir problem is abolition of Section 370. Let people of other communities settle over in the valley and let them mingle with the locals. The results will indeed be wonderful. Right now the minority community indulge in whatever they feel right. They have no respect for law. If the Police tries to arrest someone wanted, a single voice is raised from the minaret and the entire community huddles together to put hurdles. In rest of the country, they feel restricted because of the presence of the other communities. The Government has clearly seen the results of Section 370 in the valley. The situation is same what was more than 50 years before. No amount of appeasement will bring the desired effect. From the present crop of politicians, I have sincere hope only in Sonia Gandhi, who can do it.
