Ralegaon Siddhi: Team Anna has reportedly activated a new transparency plan underwhich it will approach retired judges with a request to be a part of a committee that will probe allegations against its key members.
A television channel quoted Team Anna sources as saying that the committee will look into allegations levelled against prominent team members like Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal.
The decision to form this committee was taken at a meeting at Ralegan Siddhi last month.
Since they have been plagued by various controversies ever since they came together, Team Anna is reportedly on the defensive, but prepared to go the distance to ensure its credibility and its public image.
Advocate and prominent team member Prashant Bhushan has been entrusted with the task of seeking the consent of retired judges to form the panel.
Bedi has attracted controversy and villification for overcharging her hosts by inflating travel bills, while Arvind Kejriwal has been accused of diverting donations meant for Team Anna use to his trust, besides delaying the clearing of his income tax dues of over Rupees nine lakhs.
