New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday informed Parliament that he has accepted Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi’s resignation and forwarded the same to the President for acceptance.

While responding to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, Prime Minister Singh said, "I regret the departure of Shri Trivedi."

“I had received an email last night. Then I got a formal letter by Shri Dinesh Trivedi tendering his resignation... I have forwarded the resignation letter to the President and proposed that it be accepted.

“We will have a new Rail Minister soon,” the PM added.

Trinamool Congress’ Trivedi was forced to quit as Railway Minister by his party chief after he raised passenger fares in the Rail Budget presented last week.

Dear PM, you staked your chair for the nuclear deal, but now you are allowed to express regret only. You could have dared and called Mamata`s bluff and nation for once would not have seen you as a weak puppet. Even Trivedi had more guts than you.

PM should be given the OSCAR as his acting is quite appreciable. They will ruin the country by succumbing the pressures, simply for the sake of power

Success has gone to the head of Mamta. She treated the Minister like a school child. This dictatorship or immaturity will definitely cost her in the next election. The pity is that the members of a political party follow their leader like sheeps with no wisdom whatsoever.

SORRY MAMTA MADAM. I CONDEMN YOUR ACTIONS.YOU SHALL SOON DISAPPEAR FROM POLITICAL SCENE OF THE COUNTRY. IN YOUR TENURE YOU NEVER LOOKED LIKE THE RAIL MINISTER OF THE COUNTRY. BUT ONLY OF BENGAL. POLITICALLY YOU ARE NEITHER RATIONAL NOR HONEST.

It is a sad to see this day come and like this. The dirtiest politicians India has today includes Mamta, Mayawati and Jayalalitha besides others. Shitty politicians like Mamta bring Democracy levels down to a very low. Shame to Mamta and her party. She is doing all wrongodoings since the Tata Nano debacle, a waste of democracy.

Its so sad to see this. Man who tries to do something good gets sacked. DIDI has no brains at all. I think AAM AADMI will prefer paying some money more rather than dying in some railway accident due to poor tracks which he proposed to change. Railways need money for maintaenance work. What a stupid world.

Mr. PM, we knew that u were unable to protect AAM Admi, but it is sadning to know that u r unable to protect even ur ministerial colleague as well, Feel sad for u.

PM, Pl. arrange for a Railway Minister from Congress MPs. Let mamta learn a lesson. About nos, talk to other parties like SP etc. mamta will finish railways & all the departments which she can touch
