Noida: Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid on Sunday urged upon Congress workers to take the UPA government's achievements like the National Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill to the people.

Congress is a secular party and does not espouse the cause of any particular religion or caste. It is a common man's party doing welfare work for poor and farmers, he said at a party function here.

UPA government has passed the Land Acquisition and Food Security Bills in Parliament and Congress workers should take these achievements to the people, he said.

In the 2014 general elections, BJP's Modi-magic will not work and Congress will form the government at the Centre again, Khurshid stressed, adding that BJP was trying to divide the society on religion, which will not be successful.

Congress mahanagar president Kripa Ram Sharma suggested that the party should develop a cell to impart education and skill development to the children of farmers whose land would be acquired.

Party leader Virendra Dhada also stressed on creating mass movement and highlighting the achievements of Congress among people.
