New Delhi: To help students get a better
grasp over Science and Mathematics, a pilot project for 3D
based learning solution was on Wednesday launched by HRD Minister
Kapil Sibal here.

3D graphics will be used to make the process of
learning more easy and lucid for children with an emphasis on
developing basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry, Biology as
well as Mathematics.
Unveiling the project at Queen Mary`s School here,
Sibal said the aim would be to take the solution to every
school in the country.

"I believe the old methodology of teaching must change
and students should be equipped with the modern methodologies
of learning," he said.

He said that in the next two years fibre optics will
reach every school in the country.

Students will be exposed to 3D learning solution for
at least one period per week. The technology is tailor-made
for class VI to XII.
The technology has been developed by Texas Instruments
with other partners like BenQ, Designmate and Xpand.

Teachers will be trained to use the solution which is
expected help in enhancing the retention capacity of students.
