New Delhi: Several Pakistan-based terrorists
are waiting at the launch pads across the Line of Control to cross over into Jammu and Kashmir, Home Ministry officials said here Thursday.
"There is information that many terrorists are holed up
in launching pads. We have this information, quite accurately.
We get this information regularly," Union Home Secretary R K
Singh said.
He was present at Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's
press conference where the report card for the month of August
was given out to reporters.
The Home Secretary said there have been attempts of
infiltration along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
"There have been continuous attempts to infiltrate. Our
forces are countering these attempts and we are getting
successes.
"Many infiltrators were eliminated. We are tackling
infiltration. We deal with some of them along the border. And
when a few are able to enter, we deal with them," the Home
Seecretary said.
