New Delhi: Janata Dal-United leader Sharad Yadav on Tuesday sought to debunk the civil society campaign led by activist Anna Hazare, saying not a single Dalit or backward class person is involved in it. He also protested against the attempt to portray every legislator as corrupt.

"Not a single Dalit, Adivasi or backward class is involved in this. Who are these people?" Yadav said, indicating that the anti-corruption movement was a motivated one.

He was participating in Lok Sabha debate on the Lokpal Bill.

Opposing the Lokpal Bill which has been tabled in Parliament, Yadav cautioned against painting every government servant or legislator as corrupt.

He said Parliament has many honest people who are not involved in corruption in any way.

Mr Sharad Yadav, I am graduate from GEC of your batch. Don`t forget that hardly anyone thought which category you belong when people and students of Jabalpur supported you for University President and MP first time. Then, you distanced from it. Who stops persons of the category you talk of to join fight against corruption. You people are distancing them from the national cause for reasons best known to you. I request moderator to put my views on the web and to Mr Yadav, Mr Paswan, Mr Lalu and all those who are using divisive language on such a national cause. If moderator censors it, it would be unfair journalism

LOKPAL IS NOT THE CORRECT WAY. Everyone is talking about removing corruption through lokpal. The bill itself means negative. It is not the way to remove corruption by surrendering sovereignty of our parliament .Parliament MP s are not only politicians. They are elected by people of India. So the parliament is supreme. We should accept that system with all its drawbacks. We are the members of democracy and we are not the members of an order. That is right. But in many situation we should be the members of an order. So give prime minister a power to take a decision. Do not allow lokpal.Think about a new bill like right information act ,which is having a positive meaning and capable of removing corruption.
