Shiv Sena calls for identity proof for entering Maharashtra

New Delhi, April 08: Shiv Sena on Tuesday demanded in Vidhan Sabha that legislation should be made to make it mandatory for all outsiders to carry an identity proof with them in Mumbai.

They also called for proof of identity to be produced for verification while entering Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena which has been targeting North Indians, including celebrities like Manoj Bajpayee and Amitabh Bachchan, has now reverted to this demand of making ID proofs mandatory for the outsiders for better profiling.

It must be remembered that only a few months ago a similar decision was taken by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna for making it obligatory for citizens to carry an identity proof with them for security reasons in the capital.

However it could not materialize due to widespread protests from political parties and citizens’ forums.

maharashtra has companies which produce goods only because these products are consumed all over India by Indians. If Indians stop consuming products/services of maharashtra companies, then these cos would all be worthless and no jobs would be there here. Hence its totally logical that Indians be allowed to work in these companies as its India where their goods/serivces are being sold

The central government should take strong exception to remarks like these which disrupt the plural fabric of Indian democracy. "Outsiders" in India are those who claim to be Hindus and speak all languages other than Sanskrit.May I know why or with what Intentions is Shiv Sena using the name of "Lord Shiva".Does the Shiv Sena members follow all that is written down in Vedas and follow hinduism in the perfect manner.First of all shiv sena has no right to use that name and they should rebrand themselves as "Maratha/Marathi Sena".Now when you use names like "shiv sena" you should behave like one.Do not insult Hinduism by calling yourself Hindus and bringing up Marathi/Other language logics.
