Sino-Indian war suits US: Omar

Jammu: A war between India and China will suit the United States as it will boost its weapon sales, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Tuesday.

"It (war) suits US because it will sell more weapons. But, it does not suit us and China.

"India and China have good relations. We hope it will further improve," Omar told reporters here.

The Chief Minister's response came after reporters asked his opinion on a statement of a US think tank and strategist that there is possibility of a war between India and China.

"Leave it (US's think tank's opinion of war) to India and China," Omar said and called for playing down of stray incidents between the two countries.

"There is always some sort of tension among neighbours.

Whatever stray incidents do take place, there is no need to present them by making a mountain out of a molehill," he said.

The endeavor of both the nations should be to further strengthen and improve the relations, the Chief Minister said.

Omar Abdullah does not know what he is talking about The war between India and China will suit Russia, not America. Almost all weapons used by Indian armed forces wre built by Russia, not USA. The Indian troops are trained to fight any war using Russian weapons, not American weapons, so it is logical to assume that India will buy more Russian weapons when they need some. China has occupied so much Indian Land in the north, it is trying to change he direction of the great river in the NE India. I don`t think Omar remembers October 20, 1962 when China attacked India. At that time I was a student at Lucknow University, ans I still have not forgotten the humiliation India has to go through as a result of the defeat that India suffered at the hands of China. Between neighbors, most disagreements should be forgiven, but this is not one of them. India and China can never be good neighbors because China claims most of northern part of India as it`s own.
