Sonia returns to Delhi after undergoing surgery

New Delhi: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi returned to Delhi on Thursday morning after her successful surgery for an undisclosed ailment in the US.

She returned to New Delhi at 3 am today after spending more than a month in the US.

"Congress president returned early today and she is fine," party general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said.

10 Janpath sources said she is not meeting anyone.

The 64-year-old Gandhi had left the country on August two and underwent a surgery around August 04 and 05.

Before she left on August 04, she had formed a four-member group, including her son and general secretary Rahul Gandhi, to look after party matters in her absence. The others were Defence Minister AK Antony, her political secretary Ahmed Patel and party chief spokesperson Janardan Dwivedi.

Sonia has brought disgrace to India for going to US for treatement. If politicians cannot get treatement in India they should go without it because they are responsible for the lack of good medical facilities in India. They should die for what they are responsible. If soldiers can die on the battlefied why can`t politicians die for the dereliction of their duty. When Presdient K.R.Narayanan went to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital,New Delhi I congratulated him for placing his trust in Indian medical facilities for his treatement. He wrote back to me under his own signature and seal on his official letter pad saying ``You have touched me.`` He was a great man. But we have small men and women as politicians now.

Her family background. Does her father and her family have a criminal background , was he jailed. The list is endless. As a public figure there are lot of questions to be answered.
