Shimla: Sri Lankan President Mahinda
Rajapaksa arrived here today along with his wife Shiranthi on
a two-day visit to the Queen of Hills.
They arrived at Annandale Helipad by an Indian
Airforce helicopter and were received by Himachal Pradesh
Health Minister Dr Rajeev Bindal, a minister in waiting, on
behalf of the state government.
Rajapaksa along with his wife then left for Chhabara
where the couple would stay at Hotel Wild Flower Hall, about
15 kms from here.
Rajapaksa said that agreements signed between the
Indian and the Sri Lankan government would strengthen economic
and social relations between the two countries.
