It must be emphasized that Khajuraho Temples, do not contain sexual themes inside the Temple premises or near the deity but only on external carvings. They portray that for seeing the deity, one must leave his sexual desires outside the Temple. They also depict that the inner deity of the Temple is pure like the soul (atman) which is unaffected by sexual desires and other gross tendencies, destiny etc, whereas the external curvature and carvings of the Temples depict the bodily changes that occur in us.Only as many as 10% carvings contain sexual themes, not between any deities but between ordinary humans. The rest depict the common man`s life of those days. For example ladies applying makeup, musicians, potters, Farmers etc. All these are away from Temple deities. They give the message that one should always have God as the central point in one`s life even though one is engaged in worldly activities.

I Do agree, Anger over MFH paitings which is hurting religious sentiments. MFH is Muslim and people can raise their fingers againest him as Hindus are dominated in INDIA. You can even brake his exhibition and spoil his paintings, BUT can you do the same thing, can you brake your own temple status of hindu godes? NO and Never.Why?If you are againest MFH then you also should be againest your temples which is having all kamasutra picture status? Correct me if i am wrong. Why this double standard. If Musslim crate one Nude Pic thats is hurting religious sentiments, if the same pic is made by hindu then its if god and you will BOW infront of that. Can your guruji or any of your followres clarify this? Sorry if it is hurting any one.

Hey u all out there r v not a country tat worships t Linga(shivas phallus) and t yoni(parvathis vagina), r ve not a country of t kamasutra and if v shud really visit temples leaving outside our erotic desires then apply t same principle to MFH. While I agree with Sri Sri and condemn MFH wholeheartedly, I would like to remind that bearin a muslim surname doesnt make one a muslim, so please dont bring in religion here. Mr MFH practices a trade not allowed in Islam at all. Have u seen a single Islamic monument with paintings or sculptures of animals or humans clothed or otherwise!!

Yes Sir Ravishankarji u r 100% right. Will MF Hussain paint some Muslim prphets or luminaries nude? MFH has taken Hindus and Indian democracy for granted and in the name of creativity he cannot do any bullshit which hurts the sentiments of vast majority of people and for that matter even if people in minority are being offended what he has done is wrong. Even at this old age he is unrepentant and that shows his mindset. Pandit RAVISHANKAR should now be careful from the Islamic fundamendalists.
