Srinagar: Shell explodes, soldier dies

A soldier was killed and 4 army personnel were injured when a live shell exploded at an army firing range in Budgam district of central Kashmir.

Srinagar: A soldier was killed and four
army personnel were injured when a live shell exploded during
practice at an army firing range in Budgam district of central
Kashmir on Tuesday.
Naik Deepak was killed on the spot while four troopers
were wounded when a live shell went off at Tossamaidan firing
range in Khag area, 50-km from here, officials said.
Naik Sanjiv Ram and sepoys Devinder Singh, Senthil and
Krishan Chand were admitted to Army`s 92 base hospital here.

Their condition was stated to be stable, the officials
said.
