TCS V-C praises Anna for fight against corruption

Chennai: Tata Consultancy Services vice Chairman S Ramadorai today praised anti graft crusader Anna Hazare for keeping alive the fight against corruption,but said he did not endorse his methodologies to achieve it.

"In a politically vibrant and active democracy like ours, issues of national importance sometimes do not get the attention it deserves. So if it was not for Anna Hazare, we would accept corruption as fait accompli",he said at the 175th Annual General Meet of industry body Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.

Ramadorai said he did not endorse Hazare`s methodologies on his fight against corruption, but gave him credit for keeping the issue alive, reigning in support from citizens and getting the Government to act.

Team Anna ended their 10 day fast at Jantar Mantar in Delhi yesterday and took the political plunge, declaring their plans to form a party to fight the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
But Anna Hazare made it clear that he would not launch a party or contest elections.
