`Team Anna victim of Congress` internal politics` New Delhi: Senior ministers Kapil Sibal and P Chidambaram strongly opposed the talks between government and civil society representatives and jeopardised the negotiations over the contentious Lokpal bill, activist Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday, the 10th day of Anna Hazare's indefinite fast.

"It is unfortunate that some elements in the government were trying to jeopardise the talks. We had reached (a) consensus," Kejriwal told reporters, a day after parleys ended in a logjam.

Kejriwal squarely blamed IT and Communication Minister Kapil Sibal and Home Minister P Chidambaram for the breakdown.

"Sibal and Chidambaram strongly opposed the talks’ process. Perhaps that is why the government took a U-turn on the issues we had (earlier) agreed upon," Kejriwal said.

"We have become victims of internal politics of Congress. How many rounds of talks we have had with senior leaders like Kapil Sibal and Chidambaram but nothing has happened till now. Whom will we talk to?," he added.

The two sides are expected to meet again around noon to thrash out a solution to the row, amid growing concerns over Anna Hazare's health.

Kejriwal said that civil society representatives believed that the issues could be solved through dialogue but refused to commit if they would attend the fourth round of talks.

"We will decide that in our core committee meeting," he said.

Signalling that the negotiations may have hit a dead end, Team Anna member Kiran Bedi said they didn't know who to talk to and resolve the crisis.

"Who do we talk to? We don't who we talk to. They shift the responsibilities. One person says talk to other, other says talk to another. There is nobody to listen to us. This is dangerous," Bedi said.

In the meantime, advocate Prashant Bhushan said Team Anna was open to further talks with the government on a Lokpal bill.

"It's not that we are not willing to talk to the government; we'll still talk to the government," Bhushan told a news channel.

it is indeed not much surprising for us after so much of drama from the current government. sibal and chidambaram both have lost complete respect that they achieved in their tenure as minister. i had huge respect specifically to mr sibal, but then after his actions and reactions to this jan lokpal issue, i today would even like to see him anywhere. i have one most important question today to be asked? why did till date our president of india did not voice her consent? is she not aware about anything?

it is really very sad that the senior politicians and the so called ministers are not willing to take up the task to eradicate corruption. british had the policy ``divide and rule``, but these black british also has the policy ``divide and rule``. in the name of religion, caste and what not. the important aspect is that still many of our indians are not well educated and are extremely emotional. it`s we the people of india, have to find some options to culminate this evil from our society, our country.

chidambaram needs to resign and prove that he has actually won the election. then he gets right to talk. government is talking about democracy now since it allowed them to loot the country. how many of them can claim that they didn`t bribe voters for vote?

all these corrupt politicians will just play on like this for next 3 years, next government will come that too will play for next five years….this is never ending process. government has one face for media & different for civil society, if this is not correct let us live telecast every meeting between civil society & government…..can government dare this…? for sure these thieves want to loot our nation for generations to come….its time for president’s rule in nation but our president is just a puppet, lethargic, incapable and a coward otherwise entire defense forces are under president ,,,,use it, put under house arrest entire parliament, and release only those who are honest by using narco-test …..just simply transfer entire black money online to nation,,,& above all telecast live so that every indian can watch the sins they confess………..nothing is impossible!!!!
