Terror groups trying to revive militancy in Punjab: Govt New Delhi: Government on Wednesday said militant groups, especially those based abroad, were trying to revive militancy in Punjab but ruled out any nexus between Lashkar-e-Taiba and Babbar Khalsa International.

"Available reports suggest that militant groups, especially those based abroad, continue to persist with their efforts to revive militancy in Punjab," Minister of State for Home Ajay Maken said in a written reply.

He also said there are no specific inputs at present indicating nexus between Lashkar-e-Taiba and terror groups like Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Zindabad Force.

The Terrorist Groups can only arise and multiply when they sense that the Centre is weak, docile and corrupt. By not acting swiftly and keeping terrorists in jail endlessly at Tax payers expense, is a clear signal that the state machinery is weak and impotent.
