Lucknow: In an apparent reference to
expelled Amar Singh`s barb directed at its President Mulayam
Singh Yadav, Samajwadi Party on Friday said the leaders who have
been shown the door after it came to know of their designs are
"traitors and betrayers".
In a statement issued here, SP spokesman Rajendra
Chaudhary said those attacking party president are the
traitors and betrayers who had been dancing to the tunes of
capitalists and communal forces to destroy secularism and were
thrown out when the party came to know of their designs.
These people who have destroyed the sanctity of politics
by exploiting its loopholes are now out to spread canards,
Chaudhary said, adding that it is well known that Mulayam
Singh is the only leader after former Prime Minister Chaudhry
Charan Singh who has forcefully raised the voice of farmers
and minorities from streets to the Parliament.
"There is no need to recall as to how Mulayam Singh had
risked his political existence many times to uphold the honour
of minorities," Chaudhary said.
Samajwadi ideology is against casteism whereas vested
interest blames Mulayam Singh for it, Chaudhary said.
