Kochi: The three-day meeting of the National Executive of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the highest body for policy formulation and decision making, began here on Friday.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Manoj Joshi lit a lamp jointly marking the start of the meeting, being held in Kerala for the first time.
Besides the organisational matters, national scenario, border security, environmental degradation in the name of development and increasing radical elements in Islams are among the topics which will come up for discussions, sources said.
Deliberations on the stance to be taken on different relevant issues confronting the nation will be held and resolutions would be adopted, they said.
The RSS’ apex body paid tributes to national leaders and personalities who passed away since March this year.
