Three killed, nine injured in a clash over land in Bihar

Three persons were killed and nine others injured, in a bloody clash between two groups over a disputed piece of land at Bariarwa Sareh village in West Champaran district today, police sources said.

Superintendent of police Sidhartha Mohan Jain, who is
camping at the incident site said that two groups belonging to
same caste clashed over possession of a disputed piece of land
at the village in which three people were killed and nine
others were seriously injured.

The SP said while Batkhari Yadav died on the spot, Rajdeo
Yadav who received serious cut injuries and was referred to
Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh for better medicare died on the
way. The third critically injured person identified as
Shivsagar Yadav died at Sub-divisional hospital here during
treatment.
Jain said of the nine critically injured persons one
Chandra Mohan Yadav had been referred to Patna Medical College
and Hospital (PMCH) and the rest were being treated at
sub-divisional hospital here. An FIR had been lodged in this
connection and efforts were on to nab the attackers, the SP
said.
