Train derailment: PC suspects sabotage New Delhi: Home Minister P Chidambaram on Friday said the train derailment in West Midnapore appeared to be an act of sabotage but it was not yet clear whether explosives were used to blast the tracks.

"It appears to be a case of sabotage where a portion of the railway track was removed. Whether explosives were used is not yet clear," he said in a statement here.

Chidambaram said the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed four teams to assist rail authorities in relief operations.

"A total of 132 personnel with necessary equipment have reached the site of the tragedy and are assisting the state government and railway authorities," he said.

The Minister said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy that struck the Howrah-Kurla Gyaneshwari Express in West Midnapoore district this morning.

"Convey my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. I offer my sympathies to the injured," he said.

Chidambaram said every effort was being made to rush the injured to hospital for treatment and helicopters have been pressed into service for the purpose.

Sixty-five passengers of a Mumbai-bound Gyaneshwari Express were killed early today and 200 injured in a suspected Maoist attack which led to derailment of 13 coaches, five of which were were hit by a goods train coming from the opposite direction.

india has more home-grown terrorists than any country in the world. some of the elected politicians has soft corner, soliciting and sheilding home growns and most of the corrupted politicians had proved themselves `` gays `` to deal against terrorism by state or non state actors to protect civilians. the country is constantly `` bleeding `` by 2 side of attack. merciless killing spree by terrorists & looting spree by some corrupted politicians. india had tried enough dishwashers as cooks for curing terrorism recipe on the sacrifice of civilians, but never made it. is home ministry & defence ministry capable to handle naxals-maoists? if not `` kick `` them out. govt interested to show the growth of 8-9% of the country but not cannot `` tackle `` the growth of terrorism by more than 300%. india shining by naxalism and maoism.

saw the news about the train accident and the steps that our government would be taking in order to provide to the victims of the accident. but can any one tell me is it enough to just provide cash amount to the families of the victims. why would our govt take some bold steps so that such thing dont happen in any corner of india. i doubt whether our govt is really serious about any such incidents which keeps on happening in our country after every 2 or 3 months, after our govt does after such incidents is simply give some amount to the family of the deceased. is this enough?
