today lauded the role of IAF`s Training Command and called it
the cradle of the force which imbibes service ethos and
tradition besides spirit of camaraderie.

Inaugurating a two-day Annual Commanders` Conference
at the Training Command Headquarters here, he emphasised the
importance of training of air warriors in view of various
acquisitions in making them capable of handling the latest
technology in aviation, missile, radar systems and armament.

He also stressed the need for operational preparedness
at all times to meet all eventualities.

Naik said the IAF today is a formidable power in the
region, and with its new inductions, has acquired a reach that
has made the world take note of IAF`s capability.

A manifestation of this capability is not only the
quick and timely reaction of IAF to natural disasters
worldwide, but also its capability to undertake challenging
missions anytime, anywhere, he said.

The conference is an annual feature where all
commanders of stations and units under Training Command take
stock of various issues related to training and general
administration.
