New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O`Brien on Wednesday said that his party is seeking discussion in the Rajya Sabha on sexual harassment allegations level against ex-Supreme Court judge Asok Kumar Ganguly by a law intern.

The TMC leader also said that Delhi Police should take appropriate action in the case.

"Today is United Nations Human Rights Day. Former Supreme Court judge Ashok Ganguly is continuing as chief of WBHRC. Sir, please don`t mock your office," Brien had yesterday said.

However, Chief Justice of India, P Sathasivam had then remarked that “No further follow up action by SC is required on account of Justice Ganguly`s superannuation on the date of the incident.”

In its report, the SC Panel has also remarked that the intern was not on the roll of SC, but her statement indeed showed unwelcome behavior by Justice Ganguly.

Amidst the growing clamour for his resignation as chairman of the WBHRC, Justice Ganguly on Tuesday said, he will do whatever he has to.

"I will not answer any question of yours. I will do whatever I have to," an angry Ganguly told reporters who tried to talk to him when he was taking a walk.
