UN experts review welfare measures for sex workers in Kolkata

Special adviser to the UN secretary-general Nafis Sadiq and country coordinator of UNAIDS Charles Glix today reviewed the welfare measures taken for sex workers in the city during a visit.

UNAIDS Charles Glix today reviewed the welfare measures taken
for sex workers in the city during a visit.

Both Sadiq and Glix reviewed the welfare measures
adopted by NGO `Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee`
particularly its Sonagachi project, anti-trafficking steps, at
the committee`s office.

They also talked to some sex workers, Committee
sources said.
