Chappar Chirri: Soon after he was sworn-in
as Punjab Chief Minister for a record fifth time, Parkash
Singh Badal on Wednesday trained his guns on the UPA government at
the Centre saying it had no moral right to continue.
"The UPA has lost its credibility. It has no moral right
to rule the country," he said in a brief impromptu interaction
with reporters after the oath-taking ceremony.
"In fact, the UPA constituents are becoming anti-UPA,"
Badal said without elaborating.
Asked about the possibility of the TMC walking out of
the UPA, the SAD patriarch said any decision in this regard
would be taken by that party itself.
85-year-old Badal, architect of SAD-BJP`s thumping win in
the state assembly election, took oath as Chief Minister for
a record fifth time at a ceremony here, some 25-km from
Chandigarh.
