US seeks strong military ties with India

Washington: The United States is looking forward to working on a strong bilateral relationship with the Indian armed forces, the Pentagon has said.
"We look forward to continuing to work on a strong bilateral relationship with the Indian armed forces," Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said yesterday.
Kirby however said that US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel hasn`t yet spoken with his Indian counterpart.
"He (Hagel) has not spoken to his Indian counterpart," he said.
