Jammu: Expressing resentment over the meeting of Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar with Kashmiri separatists in Delhi, VHP on Wednesday demanded that the Central government clarify why the meeting was allowed to take place.

"Those who are preaching anti-India ideology, burning the tricolour and raising pro-Pakistan slogans openly have been able to meet Khar in New Delhi soon after her arrival from Pakistan. It has shocked the people of the country and the Centre is the culprit in this issue," VHP state chief Ramakant Dubey told reporters here.

The meeting has raised a major security concern for the people of the country and the Centre should clarify whether they were in the know of it or not, he said.

"We express resentment over the behaviour of Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Minister for meeting separatists on the soil of India. India should protest with them over the issue", Dubey said.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister, who is in the national capital to hold talks with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, met delegations led by separatist Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and moderate Hurriyat chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at the Pakistan High Commission within hours of her arrival yesterday.
