Ranchi: A special court on Saturday allowed
Vigilance Bureau to interrogate former Jharkhand chief
minister Madhu Koda in jail in a disproporationate assets
case.

Vigilance court judge Binoy Kant Khan granted
permission to interrogate Koda from December 5 to December 12
during day time after the Bureau moved a petition in this
regard.

The court also allowed the Bureau to question former
minister Kamlesh Singh, in jail facing the same charges.

Both Koda and Singh had been remanded to 14 days
judicial custody on November 30 by the court after their
arrest on the same day.

The case is based on the FIR filed on July 2 by one
Rajiv Sharma, with the Vigilance Bureau accusing Koda and some
of his ex-cabinet ministers of amassing assets
disproportionate to their known sources of income.
