Vilasrao Deshmukh declares assets worth Rs 12.19 C

Union Science and Technology Min Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is seeking a second term to Rajya Sabha, declared assets to the tune of Rs 12.19 crore.

Mumbai: Union Science and Technology Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is seeking a second term to Rajya Sabha, on Saturday declared assets to the tune of Rs 12.19
crore.

Deshmukh and his wife Vaishali own movable assets worth Rs 7.11 crore and immovable assets in form of a 950 sq.ft flat in suburban Worli in Mumbai and property in their native Babalgaon in Latur district worth Rs 5.08 crore.
The former Maharashtra chief minister owns agriculture land worth Rs 1.11 crore while his wife is in the possession of a non-agriculture land in Latur worth Rs 15.40 lakh. However, the couple do not own any vehicle.

Deshmukh owns 100 gm of gold worth Rs 2.2 lakh while his wife has gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 43.80 lakh.

Earlier, Deshmukh, accompanied by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, State unit Congress president Manikrao Thakre and party ministers Narayan Rane, Balasaheb Thorat, Harshvardhan Patil, Satej Patil, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and MLC Ulhas Pawar, filed his nomination at Vidhan Bhavan.
