Bangalore: Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday blamed the "votebank politics" of Congress and the UPA government for the exodus of north-eastern people from the city.

"It is because of the votebank politics of the Congress and the UPA government that the exodus has happened", Naidu, a core committee member of the BJP told reporters here.

He alleged that the UPA government's failure to take timely action in Assam after eruption of ethnic violence and also the Maharashtra government to initiate action against those who recently staged a rally in Mumbai "raising provocative pro- Pakistan slogans" had led to panic among the north-eastern people, resulting in their exodus.

"Rumour mongering, mischievous SMS and social media network" added to the panic, he said.

Naidu pointed out that the trouble had first started in Congress ruled states Pune (Maharashtra)and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) and then 'percolated' to Bangalore and Chennai.

He warned Congress not make "such cheap allegations as it would only boomerang" against them.

People in Assam are not issued Voter I-card, Ration Card for every individual. Why? Is it for the benefit of the thousands of Illegal Bangladeshis intruding the state every year, to vote conveniently, to give the benefits of BPL facilities easily for these poor infiltrates? Who is responsible for their infiltration and the Violent clashes with the original Indian inhabitants? Is it the Congress, who has encouraged the unabated influx of Bangladeshis, The BSF in the border, Some ``communal`` leaders such as Badruddin Ajmal who helps in their influx in the name of muslim, who openly stated in Mumbai, the violence in assam is against the muslims? Now why is the Congress at the center blaming Pakisthan? To get away from their faults, Not to arrest the communal Badruddin Ajaml, to appease the illegal bangladeshi muslims for vote bank. Tired of your nonsense talks Congress, grow up. When a foreigner(Italian) is their supreme leader, how can the party think for a better India. Indians, people of Assam, it is high time we realize the truth, or else it will be too late.
