New Delhi: BJP on Monday wondered whether a
"cover-up" was attempted in the 2G spectrum allocation case
as suggested by media reports claiming that a senior law
officer had arranged for a strategy session between CBI
officials and the counsel of A Raja, who stepped down as
Telecom Minister, in the ongoing case in the Supreme Court.
"If such a meeting has indeed been held, it establishes
that an effort was made for a cover-up," Leader of the
Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley told reporters
He said while DoT and Raja are being investigated by CBI
and ED, "how can the investigating agencies and the accused
have a common strategy session"?
Media reports said a senior law officer had tried to get
CBI and ED officials probing the 2G spectrum scam to
coordinate with the counsel for Raja for the court case.
