Kolkata: The West Bengal government would
submit a report tomorrow to the Centre on yesterday`s Maoist
attack at an EFR camp killing 24 jawans at Shilda in West
Midnapore district, state Home Secretary Ardhendu Sen said.
"The report will be submitted to the Centre after we
get a report from the DGP tomorrow," Sen told newsmen at the
state secretariat today after attending a meeting with ADG
(IB) Naparijit Mukherjee, presided over by Chief Secretary
Asok Mohan Chakraborty.
DGP Bhupinder Singh, who visited Shilda earlier in the
day, was to attend the meeting but could not make it on time,
Sen said.
Asked whether the government had formulated any course
of action in the wake of the attacks, Sen declined to give a
direct reply, saying, "let us first get the detailed reports.
Once we decide on a course of action, we will let you know."
On reports that a Central team was likely to visit the
state on Thursday to study the situation post-attack, Sen said
that he was not aware of any such report.
