New Delhi: DMK leaders on Tuesday expressed happiness on A Raja, former telecommunications minister, getting bail in the 2G scam.

Speaking to a news channel, former Union minister and senior DMK leader TR Baalu said, “We are very happy… all DMK members are very happy.”

Baalu said he along with other DMK MPs was on way to Tihar Jail to meet Raja, who is likely to be released from prison by this evening.

Responding to a question, Baalu said till Raja is proven guilty the party will stand behind him.

"He will prove his innocence," the DMK leader added.

On 2G petitioner Subramanian Swamy’s remarks that Raja getting bail will not affect the trial, Baalu said “what Swamy says is immaterial to us”.

Meanwhile, Raja’s wife said it’s a long battle ahead for them.

All leaders of DMK have good reason to be happy. Now they can have their present to make their next move to loot our country. Ordinary citizens are very sad today. But our judicial system has loopoles to the extent these criminals take full advantage of this system. These people have full support of other corrupt political parties. I don`t know what will happen to the next genaration of this country. May God bless my country and save it from these corrupt leaders and their parties.

A VERY SAD DAY FOR INDIA. HIS BAIL SHOULD BE CANCELLED TILL THE TRIAL COURT DISPOSES OF THE CASE. HE IS BOUND TO INFLUENCE WITTNESS AND TAMPER WITH EVIDENCE. THE CBI SHOULD APPEAL IN THE SUPREME COURT TO CANCEL HIS BAIL IMMEDIATELY. IF NOT, THE 2G CASE WILL NEVER REACH ITS LOGICAL CONCLUSION.

No politician in India till now proved guilty for the charges framed against him/her. Its not a surprise the DMK will stand with him as everybody got their own share.

It was known to every Indians all criminals / corrupted person get relief from punishment and the people fighting against the corruption shall be hanged. This is our Indian statistics. We can discuss about the corruption. Because our law and order is as usual. Keep it up. Hope for the worst. Only one subramanium, one Kajeriwal, one kiran bedi and one Anna will survive with their ethics. Other will play with bypass and benifit of law not law of laws.

Corrupted leaders are happy, but majority of Indian Citizen curse the slow progress of justice system which is dangeoursly changes the confidence on existing democracy in India. If Raja like corrupted leaders are out, then what is the meaning of Indian Democracy and system and the most important thing, the value of the Constituion of India, prepared under Dr. Ambedkar whose names are using by the so-called politicians and leaders to whip up artificial passions on Indian Public. What a Shame! We need SIT for all the corruption cases pending before courts and the culprits to be put behind bars till the verdict is out. We do not want these corrupted people to wander and influence the justice system.
