New Delhi: The BJP on Friday alleged that Congress has done nothing for Muslims and vowed to "expose" UPA government`s "hollow" claims of minorities` welfare.
Party`s spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said their "chargesheet" against the UPA government would highlight the "gross injustice" minorities have suffered under its rule and their tardy pace of development.
The party`s committee assigned with the task of preparing a "chargesheet" against UPA met for the first time today and Prasad said they would expose the Congress-led government`s hollow claims to minorities` welfare as they have suffered a lot in its rule.
Prasad, who along with party`s Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde heads the committee, said their slogan is "UPA ki virasat, asahay Bharat, asurakhit Bharat (UPA`s legacy, helpless India, insecure India)".
"We will meet various sections of society across the country to elicit their views on the government`s misrule before we ready the chargesheet," Prasad said.
The committee is one of 20 sub-committees constituted by the party`s Election Campaign Committee headed by Narendra Modi.
Munde was also present in the meet which decided to actively use social media to seek people`s opinion.
"BJP`s website would soon have a folder where people can file their opinions which would be considered for chargesheet? We will also do crowd-sourcing on social media," he said.
Prasad said the committee`s members would meet different sections -- youth, women, SCs, STs, weavers, fishermen among others -- in various cities.
"UPA`s 10 years in power is a decade of misrule, corruption and financial mess," he alleged.
