Young Indian mountaineer scales Mt Lhotse

Arjun Vajpayee, the youngest Indian to conquer Mt Everest, has successfully scaled Mt Lhotse, the world`s fourth highest peak.

Kathmandu: Arjun Vajpayee, the youngest Indian to conquer Mt Everest, has successfully scaled Mt Lhotse, the world`s fourth highest peak.

He reached atop the 8,516m Mt Lhotse yesterday along with two Nepalese Sherpa guides, his mother Priya Vajpayee said.

Arjun, 17, is the 12th grade student of Ryan International school at Noida.

Last year Arjun became the youngest Indian to climb Everest at the age of 16.

Arjun reached the top of Everest on May 22, 2010.
