Facebook set to resume f8 developer conference after three-year break

Washington: Facebook will reportedly hold its next f8 event on April 30 at the San Francisco Design Concourse, reviving its one day annual f8 developer conference after a gap of three years.

Facebook intends to make the conference even more developer-focused than before, hinting that the event will be highly technical in nature.
According to Cnet, the tone will be radically different from Facebook`s previous f8 event, held in September 2011, where company CEO Mark Zuckerberg made splashy consumer announcements including its radical profile redo called Timeline and the now mostly defunct Ticker .
Meanwhile, F8 will apparently accommodate 1,500 developers, who will have to apply for a spot in order to attend the conference.
