Washington: Social networking giant Facebook on Thursday announced it will begin posting 15-second video ads to users` News Feed with an aim to capture the TV market.
The new ads dubbed as `Premium Video Ads` will auto-play without sound but, would expand to full-screen mode and play sound when tapped. If you don’t want to watch the video, you can simply scroll or swipe past it. These ads are on a three-month trial run.
Facebook has teamed up with a company called Ace Metrix to measure such creative components of ads as watchability, meaningfulness and "emotional resonance."
Facebook said that users could expect to see the new ads in their Web and mobile News Feed over the next few months.
