Washington: A new study from Fortinet reportedly shows that security and privacy behavior differs significantly with varying generation.

Fortinet surveyed 150 Gen-X users and 150 Millenials with an equal number of male and female respondents.
More than 40 percent of both Gen-X and Millenial respondents indicated that they never change their passwords, or only change their passwords when forced to, the PC World reported.

Meanwhile, nearly half of Gen-Xers failed to protect their smartphone with a PIN or passcode of some sort, while only 37 percent of Millenials were apparently casual about it.
John Maddison, vice president of marketing for Fortinet said that taken together, Millennials were essentially saying that they didn`t care what their employers said.
