Today is a twin celebration! While the FIFA World cup fever has already kicked off, it`s the day to pay tribute to fathers. So, Google today decided to incorporate and celebrate both these special events through an interactive doodle.

Father`s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and fatherhood and the influence of fathers in society.Google has created this doodle to recognise the contribution of fathers in the lives of their children.

The moment the users open the homepage of Google, a green coloured ‘Google’ appears on screen. This green colour symbolises the field of FIFA World Cup 2014. The first `O` of Google is presented in a smaller font size as compared to the second ‘O’ who has a cute looking moustache. The graphic clearly symbolises a father-kid duo in which the gesture of the kid holding his dad`s hand depicts his love and dependence on him.
The kid-like ‘O’ holding a football demonstrates the significance of FIFA World Cup. The graphical appearance of the father holding his kid`s hand, shows that a ‘Father’ can be a fun companion to tag along and enjoy World Cup 2014 season.

So go ahead, enjoy this Sunday watching football with your father!
