Washington: Google has launched a feature which allows users to send directions from Google Maps on a computer to a device.

The feature is available on iOS now. The feature was launched on Android late last week.

According to the CNET, the users can use the new feature by visiting Google Maps on their computer and search for a place. Just below the name and business hours they will find a 'Send to device' link. When the users click on it and select the device they would like to send the information to.

Android users do not need to enable anything within the app itself given that they are running the latest version of Google Maps unlike its iOS version.

The notification delivered to the user's Android device will have options to begin navigation or view directions.
