New Delhi: The man who managed to keep all the space enthusiasts glued to the computer screens for more than a year has said a final goodbye to NASA.

Its none other than veteran US astronaut Scott Kelly, who amazed all of us with some of the beautiful pictures and videos of our planet has finally retired.

Scott recently completed a 340-day mission aboard the International Space Station which happens to be the longest continuous stay in space by an American astronaut.

An emotional yet thrilled Kelly took to twitter and thanked the US space agency for all the support they showered over the last 20 years.

He wrote: "#ThankYou, @NASA! It's been an incredible 20 years! #YearInSpace,"

Check out his tweet:

Kelly joined the astronaut corps in 1996 and flew in space four times. Post retirement, he will continue to participate in the ongoing research related to his year-long mission in space.
