Itanagar: The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh today urged Joint Secretary of Union Home Affairs Ministry Shambhu Singh to include senior party leaders in the inter-ministerial team led by him that is currently on tour to the state to assess damages caused by recent floods.
Party spokesman Techi Necha in a statement said that inclusion of BJP leaders from the state in the team would ensure fair estimation of the damages and provide justice to the actual victims.
A delegation led by party's state general secretary Shri Dominic Tadar extended warm welcome to Singh and expressed hope that his visit would benefit the sensitive border state.
The party raised the issues relating to the various developmental projects in the state and claimed the BJP had never been made a part of the developmental process in the state and the public grievances have always been kept aside for the last so many years.
"The party cadres remain neglected and deprived of the basic government facilities every time. In the past few years' properties of the party cadres like land, houses, business and other establishments destroyed by the natural calamities were overlooked and never been a part of the government facilities, relief and aids. And thus, remain neglected and deprived over the years," the party alleged.
