Agartala: Normal life was paralysed in Tripura
on Monday in response to a dawn-to-dusk bandh called by National
Student Union of India (NSUI) and opposition Congress to
protest against attack against activists and leaders of NSUI.

Schools, colleges and all educational institutions
were closed, shops downed shutters, markets remained closed
and vehicles did not ply on the roads.

Banks and financial organizations were closed,
attendances in government offices and Civil Secretariats were
thin.

Police said no untoward incident was reported from any
part of the state so far.

Police said at least six activists of NSUI, including
the President of the organization, Vicky Prasad were injured
at Maharaja Bir Bikram College here on Saturday when the
activists of SFI attacked them.

Six injured activists were admitted to Gobinda Ballav
Pant hospital here and the doctor referred Prasad to Kolkata
