BJP, AGP linked with ULFA`s Paresh Barua faction: Gogoi

(AGP) and BJP had links with the Paresh Barua faction of the
ULFA and would take their help in coming assembly polls in the
"ULFA, led by Paresh Barua, has issued threats to
Congress ministers and legislators and is silent on AGP and
BJP who have stated that talks without Barua will not be
fruitful", Gogoi told reporters on the sidelines of the
launching of Assam State Wide Area Network and Assam Online
This made it clear that there was a `definite link`
between the opposition parties and a section of the ULFA
whichwould help the opposition parties during the assembly
elections, the chief minister alleged.
Gogoi charged he is "absolutely sure that former Chief
Minister (and AGP leader) Prafulla Kumar Mahanta and ULFA also
"The opposition parties also do not accuse either ULFA or
NDFB militants of being responsible for triggering bomb blasts
that had rocked the state over the years when everybody is
aware of their involvement", he added.
Gogoi said there were intelligence inputs that Maoists
were establishing their base in the state and there was
evidence the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti and Adivasi National
Liberation Army along with several other outfits had links
Asked whether the anti-incumbency would work against
Congress, the Chief Minister said the development works
initiated by his government would override all factors and the
party would definitely win the next elections.
