Guwahati: AICC general secretary Digvijay
Singh on Sunday charged BJP with `double speak` on Wikileaks
cables and on terror attacks in the country.
"BJP created furore in Parliament on Wikileaks cable
and everyone knows that the sting operation was carried out by
its party workers," Singh told reporters here.
"They(BJP) have the tendency to speak differently on
various issues, including in Babri Masjid-Ram Janambhoomi case
and the terror attacks ... How can the BJP advocate the
building of Ram temple even after insisting that the Masjid
will not be demolished," he said.
Singh alleged that BJP always said Muslim
fundamentalists were behind terror attacks in the country but
the Malegaon blast had proved the involvement of Hindu
"While on the one hand they (BJP) criticised late
Hemant Karkare (anti-terrorist squad chief), after the
Malegaon blast they praised his heroics in the Mumbai attack
and even wanted to pay Rs one crore to his widow," he said.
